Napster and The Generational Changes

This is good representation of the evolution of any industry.  I miss the times of Napster and a cable internet connection.  I have a very large collection because of it, (legitimized though services that are no longer around).  I guess it is the idea of a free and open internet that I like.  The generation that is coming is very much the 99 cents generation.  Our music industry has grown outward because of the likes of YouTube.

Maybe that is the answer to any industry, grow out and not up.  Netflix has been another industry changing model that has grown out.  I foresee more companies being founded strictly to change industries.  The music industry has changed, as well as the movie industry.  The book industry has changed because of the Amazon Kindle.  The next industry I want is the cable industry.  Propped up by monopolies that were put in place because of politicians.  Now look around you.  You see all those teenagers.  Those kids are next Sean Parker and Shawn Fanning.
